About The Position

The Lead Quality Engineer supports product quality across the manufacturing process, including additive manufacturing. The role plans and executes quality activities that affect departmental operations, working within established functional practices and procedures. It offers some autonomy while requiring guidance for certain judgments and decisions. The position verifies conformance to specifications through measurements and testing during in-house manufacturing. It also performs incoming-goods controls, product inspections, and witness-point checks to control the quality of items from external suppliers. The role applies technical expertise and understanding of business drivers to complete work and contribute to team and area objectives. It may involve informal guidance for new team members and, at an early people-leader level, hiring and developing talent. Employment is contingent on proving U.S. Person status because the position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Relocation assistance is provided.
