Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 4-6 years of related experience.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality function.
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications, specifically Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Ability to read Pi-Tape, Calipers, Depth Gauge, and a weight scale.
  • Able to pass a Drug Test
  • Acceptable outcome of a Background Check
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production activities and lot qualification testing as it relates to compliance with all quality requirements.
  • Coordinate/lead Non-Conforming Material (NMR) system.
  • Perform all receiving, in-process inspection, final inspection, first article conformance inspection, set up verifications and data acquisition verifications on a regular basis.
  • Generate nonconforming material reports, review and disposition non-conforming materials.
  • Participate as an active member of the material review board.
  • Generate rework procedures/instructions.
  • Assist in defining and implementing process controls that will enable process improvement through the reduction of process variability.
  • Primary role will be in the steel department with support of all metals related operations.
