About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer for an On-site contract opportunity with a Major Financial Institution in Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX. This role operates in a global delivery model, providing strategic direction for testing and serving as a subject matter expert in both quality assurance and a specific line of business domain. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Kafka environments and proficiency in building automation scripts within a BDD framework for end-to-end data flow.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading quality assurance projects/programs
• Experience with data integrity, reconciliations, and creating transactions
• Strong scripting knowledge and experience with code management (CI/CD pipeline)
• Proven ability to analyze failures in automated test cases
• Experience testing huge volumes of data (millions of records)
• Strong analytical thinking and quality assurance (QA) skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Karate, Cucumber, or Rest Assured

Responsibilities

• Describe end-to-end data flow in a Kafka environment
• Troubleshoot Kafka messages and events
• Handle lags, reset offsets, and read Kafka Topics
• Build automation scripts for end-to-end flow in a BDD framework
• Lead the review of testing artifacts throughout the product life-cycle to ensure appropriate sign-off and prioritization of testing work
• Coordinate test strategy, scripting, and defect resolution
• Take accountability for quality standards in the development, implementation, and upkeep of test scripts and opportunities for automation
