About The Position
L3Harris is seeking a Lead, Project Engineering to drive day-to-day execution of assigned engineering programs. This role leads cost, schedule, and technical performance while aligning planning, engineering teams, line management, and customers. The Lead, Project Engineering drives day-to-day execution for assigned engineering programs. This position oversees cost, schedule, and technical performance within program objectives and customer commitments. The role serves as the central point of coordination across project management and planning, the engineering team, and line management, and establishes the reporting and control mechanisms needed to track progress, resolve issues, and keep execution on plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day execution of assigned engineering programs
- Oversee cost, schedule, and technical performance within program and customer commitments
- Serve as the primary interface among engineering project management and planning, the engineering team, and line management
- Review project status, budgets, and schedules and deliver clear status reporting
- Resolve project issues to protect productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Establish reporting and control mechanisms to track progress and enable timely intervention
- Align engineering project managers, line managers, customers, and stakeholders on execution priorities
- Coordinate with resource managers and supervisors to support staffing and execution
- Ensure required reviews, decisions, and approvals are completed on schedule
- Lead large, complex initiatives with minimal oversight or direction
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training across the organization within the area of expertise
- Conduct phase-down analyses and capture lessons learned for future programs and missions
- Improve processes, systems, and execution approaches to deliver measurable business results
