About The Position

Plan and deliver on organization objectives through program development, management of day-to day program operations, and technical execution of programs. Collaborate with Bureau/Department leadership to oversee programs and special initiatives in the development, coordination, submission, and implementation of various strategic plans and performance reports. Manage all aspects of Bureau/Department programs from initiation through closeout. Provide oversight and technical assistance to sub-recipients or assisted business and development entities. Oversee policy manual development, revisions, and implementations in coordination with functional areas. Coordinate the entry of accomplishment data, project completion, and program closeout data in systems. Provide guidance for others in program management and delegate work, as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Five (5) years of program management, project management, or directly related experience is required
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance is required.
  • Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States’ territories and Canada must be credentialed by an approved U.S. credential evaluation service belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE).
  • Candidates who are contacted will be required to produce original required documents (e.g., current driver’s license, diploma, school transcript, certifications, etc.) listed on the Notice of Job Opportunity within five (5) days of being extended an offer, in writing, by the Bureau Chief of BHR (or designee).
  • Knowledge of planning, policy, and compliance policies, processes, and procedures and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skill in designing and launching new programs, engaging an array of stakeholders, and building internal organizational capacity.
  • Skill in communicating, both verbally and in writing, to internal departments and external agencies, as appropriate, for the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to enable collaborative teaming and oversee the work of a program.
  • Ability to lead organization objectives through program development, guidance of day-to day program operations, and advanced execution of a program.
  • Ability to lead collaborative teaming within and across a program.
  • Ability to lead program direction and goal achievement, and manage finances, stakeholders, and governance.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
