About The Position

WSP is seeking a Lead Professional, Electrical Engineer with a SCADA emphasis for its Denver, Colorado office. The position is part of the Electrical Studies, SCADA, and Protection (ESSP) team and contributes to projects involving the design, engineering, and study of protection systems for bulk power system equipment, including substations, transmission lines, generators, renewable energy, industrial, and distribution systems. The successful candidate will coordinate, review, and approve electrical infrastructure design plans for mid-level and complex projects, and contribute technical leadership across SCADA, networking, communications, and control systems. The role includes preparing and programming data acquisition and routing schemes, developing HMI screens, designing communication and network paths, and developing logic and control schemes for remote and local operation of power system equipment. Project-site travel may be needed for testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Candidates should bring relevant SCADA design experience and a willingness to learn and share expertise with colleagues. The role also requires ethical decision-making, adherence to company policies, and additional responsibilities as business needs require. Occasional project-related travel may be required, and schedule flexibility is expected.
