About The Position

The Lead Production Operator supports production operations during the shift by coordinating with Operators and Single Serve Team Members, monitoring machine performance, and communicating issues to the Supervisor and Maintenance Technicians. The role collects shift data, helps ensure materials are available at each machine, and supports training and continued equipment knowledge. When the Supervisor is away or on vacation, the Lead Production Operator leads the shift to help ensure operations run smoothly.

Ability to improve production equipment performance, achieve high efficiency, and maintain low production waste.
High school diploma or GED.
Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily team meetings with Operators and Single Serve Team Members.
Collect data for Single Serve shift reporting at the beginning and end of every shift.
Ensure machines run at peak performance during the shift and report issues effectively to the Supervisor and Maintenance Technicians.
Submit recorded information about downtime and machinery adjustments to the Supervisor and share it with Maintenance Technicians.
Continue learning about all pieces of equipment when opportunities arise.
Assist with breaks and lunches to help keep machines running at peak performance throughout the production shift.
Communicate with Material Handlers to ensure proper raw materials are available at each machine and unused materials are removed from the machines.
Lead the shift when the Supervisor is away or on vacation to help ensure operations run smoothly.
Collect data for daily reporting to upper-level management.
Train teammates and provide constructive criticism to increase their knowledge of machinery.
