About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Lead Product Review Engineer (Level 4) to join their team in Heath, Ohio. This role involves supporting a key defense program, influencing product direction, reducing program risk, and ensuring mission readiness. The individual will work closely with an integrated team and support the warfighter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in a role that required creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience working with and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of other engineers in analysis, test, evaluation, build, and repair of Inter-continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) air vehicle equipment (AVE) for Minuteman III inertial guidance repair contract
  • Review data from multiple and varied sources to understand faults and failures and develop test and repair plans to return hardware to nominal configuration
  • Verify performance of AVE (electro-mechanical system) as ready to return to serviceable condition
  • Maintain, develop, and edit relevant documentation
  • Analyze hardware and consumables to determine and mitigate obsolescence risk for weapon system lifecycle extension
  • Prepare/write/edit documents of all kinds, including test plans, work instructions, white papers, presentations
  • Disposition non-conformances and other repair directions
  • Interface with other stakeholders, including other Boeing functions, suppliers and contractors, and customers
  • Mentor, train, and guide other engineers
