About The Position

GoodParty.org is seeking a Lead Product Marketing Manager to be a central figure in their Go-To-Market (GTM) organization. This role involves close collaboration with the Product Management team and serves as a crucial link between Product and GTM teams. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of users and the product, working to bridge these two areas. This is a high-influence, high-coordination, and cross-functional position where success is achieved through insightful analysis, quality of work, and building trust across the organization. The role requires a blend of emotional intelligence and analytical rigor, with a focus on human empathy and data-driven decision-making, in a field where the product marketing playbook is still being developed.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in B2C tech product marketing, ideally in a fast moving product-led, growth-oriented, or category-building environment.
  • Ability to blend strategy and execution, thinking deeply and moving quickly.
  • Skilled in deeply cross-functional work, building trust, creating alignment, and moving teams without formal authority.
  • Investigative mindset to understand user needs and generate insights that influence decisions.
  • Exceptional writing skills for creating concise and effective marketing copy and positioning documents.
  • Data-informed and judgment-led approach, with experience using funnels, cohorts, A/B tests, and performance metrics.
  • Must be physically located in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building product marketing from 0 - 1 in a brand new category.
  • Experience in civic tech, political campaigns, democracy reform, advocacy, or mission-driven startups.
  • A desire to act and contribute to the improvement of democracy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product marketing by aligning product, growth, sales, partnerships, and brand around a shared, deep understanding of both users and product, and act as the internal educator who keeps everyone telling the same story.
  • Run voice-of-customer research (interviews, surveys, win/loss analysis, and ongoing feedback loops) to uncover the real why behind user needs, then translate it into living personas and segment maps built on demographic, behavioral, and motivational criteria.
  • Own competitive intelligence, keeping the team current on the market landscape and turning insights into positioning angles, roadmap input, and campaign strategy.
  • Develop sharp positioning & messaging by segment, use case, and channel, translating complex product capabilities into language that resonates with first-time candidates, campaign managers, and elected officials.
  • Build & maintain the enablement library (launch briefs, messaging guides, sales decks, battle cards, one-pagers, objection handling, etc.) so Sales, Growth, and Partnerships can communicate the product with confidence.
  • Drive GTM planning & execution for both feature and product launches, coordinating across teams so releases land clearly and drive real adoption and usage.
  • Own lifecycle marketing post-signup, partnering with Product on activation, engagement and retention by defining the key metrics, tracking the funnel, running A/B tests, and bringing a clear point of view on what to fix next.

Benefits

  • 100% coverage of health, dental, and vision benefits for you and your dependents.
  • Unlimited PTO (sick and vacation) policy.
  • 401(k) program available.
  • Individual learning & development budget.
  • Workspace setup stipend for remote work.
  • Monthly stipend for internet and other expenses ($50/month).
  • Bitcoin denominated deferred bonus plan.
