About The Position

This role involves leading staff in understanding end-user needs, defining product features, and coordinating activities across teams to achieve quality standards, project deadlines, and business objectives. The Lead Product Manager will oversee the gathering and writing of requirements for application features, conduct competitive analyses, and utilize product discovery techniques for feature prioritization. They will also be responsible for developing long-term product plans (roadmaps), reviewing product utilization reports, identifying market trends, preparing project reports, providing technical advice, and resolving problems. Additionally, this role includes supervising assigned staff through hiring, counseling, guiding, training, and disciplinary processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, marketing, business administration or related field, and 10 years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role in an Agile, Scrum, Kanban or comparable environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong customer-facing digital subject matter expertise with experience working on medium complexity features and/or an entire software application.
  • 2 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews reports on product utilization prepared by staff and identifies market trends and opportunities.
  • Prepares project reports for management, clients or others.
  • Confers with staff and others to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Provides supervision to assigned staff, including hiring, counseling, guiding, training, and disciplinary processes as required.
