About The Position

Temenos is looking for a Lead Product Designer to shape and elevate the user experience across Temenos’ core banking and financial product portfolio. This role is ideal for a senior design leader who combines strong UX strategy, hands‑on product design, and people leadership to deliver simple, intuitive solutions in complex, highly regulated environments. You will work at the intersection of design, product, engineering, and business, defining user experience standards while leading design execution for enterprise‑grade banking platforms used by financial institutions worldwide.

Requirements

  • Experience in Product Design / UX Design, including experience leading design for complex digital products.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise or SaaS products, ideally within financial services, fintech, or banking software.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end product design, systems thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience working in agile product teams with Product Owners and Engineering.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Experience with core banking, payments, lending, wealth, or enterprise financial platforms.
  • Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, and usability best practices.
  • Experience working with global, distributed teams.
  • Background in user research or data‑informed design decision‑making.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the UX vision and design strategy across core banking and financial products.
  • Lead end‑to‑end product design from discovery and concepting to delivery and iteration.
  • Establish and maintain design standards, patterns, and guidelines aligned with Temenos’ design system.
  • Advocate for user‑centered design principles within a complex, enterprise software environment.
  • Translate complex banking workflows into clear, intuitive, and scalable user experiences.
  • Design high‑quality user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs.
  • Ensure usability, accessibility, consistency, and performance across products and platforms.
  • Use customer insights, analytics, and usability testing to continuously improve designs.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, and Researchers to shape product direction.
  • Facilitate design reviews and workshops, aligning cross‑functional teams around shared design outcomes.
  • Support client‑facing discussions where UX input adds value (demos, feedback sessions, pilot programs).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product designers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Provide design critique, coaching, and career development guidance.
  • Set clear priorities, manage workloads, and ensure high‑quality delivery across multiple initiatives.
