About The Position

The Lead Process Estimator will take ownership of estimating complex water and wastewater treatment projects while providing leadership to the estimating team. The position will manage a team of estimators, with the opportunity to build and grow the team as workload increases. The company has both hard bid and design-build capabilities. This position will have a direct influence on how the company prices and wins work and will contribute to the development of its design-build practice. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a back-office estimating position.

Requirements

  • Strong background in process piping and equipment estimating, ideally within water and wastewater treatment.
  • Practical understanding of treatment plant operations and the ability to take portions of a system offline while maintaining overall plant operations.
  • Experience pricing bypass, phased construction, and work on live/operational systems.
  • Experience with both hard-bid and design-build project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and constructability.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring estimators, or demonstrated readiness to take on estimating team leadership.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Must be located in East Central Pennsylvania and able to visit the office approximately once per month.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate self-performed piping and equipment scopes for water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Develop bypass strategies and pricing for work involving active process systems.
  • Account for costs associated with maintaining plant operations during construction.
  • Prepare estimates for predominantly hard-bid projects.
  • Support design-build pursuits through early-stage pricing and constructability input.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to understand existing systems.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to identify sequencing challenges.
  • Develop pricing for phased construction and live-system work.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop an estimator while helping build the estimating team as the company grows.
  • Establish estimating best practices and contribute to the company's continued growth.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Remote work flexibility.
  • Monthly office presence rather than daily commuting.
  • Leadership opportunity with responsibility for growing the estimating team.
  • Significant influence on the company's expanding design-build platform.
  • Opportunity to work on technically challenging water and wastewater projects.
  • Long-term career growth within a growing organization.
