About The Position

The Lead Principal Electrical Engineer will provide technical leadership for advanced electrical system architectures for data center-related products. The role addresses complex design challenges and makes high-level decisions balancing performance, security, reliability, power efficiency, thermal management, manufacturability, and business objectives. It establishes technical roadmaps, guides adoption of emerging technologies, and leads initiatives from concept through production. The role defines component-selection strategies and system-wide optimization frameworks; advises on system design reviews, CAD integration, and board layout; and resolves escalated component and integration issues. It leads validation, testing, debugging, risk assessment, failure analysis, and sustaining engineering, including customer escalations, root-cause analysis, alternate-component qualification, and end-of-life issues. It also develops enterprise-wide documentation and process frameworks, leads formal design reviews, and contributes to research, innovation, and technical thought leadership. As needed, the position shapes electrical hardware compliance strategies for global safety, electromagnetic compatibility, and environmental regulations; advises leadership on compliance risks; integrates regulatory requirements into hardware architecture; and develops pre-compliance, certification-readiness, and compliance-documentation practices. The role also directs project planning and execution for critical initiatives, builds cross-functional and external partnerships, leads complex problem-solving and continuous-improvement efforts, and contributes to talent assessment, hiring, mentoring, and professional development.
