About The Position

Avance Care is seeking a Lead Family Medicine Physician to join a well-established and expanding Medical Group at Avance Care in Durham, NC. This role offers the chance to be part of a robust system while maintaining autonomy. The Lead Clinician is responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to medical providers at their assigned clinic location(s), ensuring adherence to clinical standards, best practice guidelines, and overall quality of care. This position collaborates with the Clinic Manager and Area Operations Manager on operational aspects, focusing on driving provider performance, value-based care initiatives, and compliance with clinical policies and regulations.

Requirements

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Active and unrestricted medical license in North Carolina.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in primary care practice.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical setting.
Experience with value-based care models and quality improvement initiatives.
Strong understanding of clinical policies and regulatory compliance.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a multi-provider medical group.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Experience in mentoring or supervising other clinicians.
