About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our incredible team at Summit County Preschool. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who’s passionate about early childhood education and wants to be part of a supportive, creative, and hands-on learning environment. The role involves leading a classroom of 3 and 4-year-old children with warmth, patience, and joy, creating engaging weekly lesson plans, and using Teaching Strategies to observe and assess children's development. Building strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers is also a key aspect of this position, as is supporting each child's growth and learning through play, routine, and positive guidance.

Requirements

Minimum Level 3 on Colorado Shines PDIS is required, or able to receive in 3 months.
At least one year of experience working in a childcare setting is required.
Ability to pass a background check.
High school diploma or GED required.
Physically able to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus, but not required.
Experience leading a childcare classroom is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
