Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
State teaching certification or license in early childhood education (varies by state).
2+ years of preschool classroom experience, including experience leading or mentoring staff.
Knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate practices, and early learning standards.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Applicable state licensing requirements for the role.

Responsibilities

Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards and school philosophy.
Supervise, mentor, and delegate tasks to assistant teachers and aides; maintain a cohesive teaching team.
Observe, assess, and document children's progress across developmental domains; adapt instruction to individual needs.
Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to support positive behavior and social development.
Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Infants, Toddlers, or Preschool children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
Lead parent‑teacher conferences and maintain ongoing communication about children’s progress, needs, and behavior.
Participate in meetings, collaborate with other departments, and represent the school to stakeholders when needed.
