About The Position

New York Preschool & Kids Club is seeking a dedicated Certified Lead Preschool Teacher to join their mission of providing New York City's youngest learners with a joyful, solid foundation for lifelong learning. This role involves leading an inclusive, nurturing 3's classroom, utilizing the Tools of the Mind Curriculum to guide students through intentional play. The teacher will foster a culture that promotes inquiry, independence, and social-emotional intelligence, inspiring children to become lifelong learners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in ECE or a related field.
• NYS Early Childhood Initial or Permanent Certification (B-2 or 1-6) required.
• 2+ years of lead teaching experience in Pre-K (2-4 year olds) or Kindergarten.
• Must be a passionate teacher and lifelong learner.
• Physical exam and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Use the Tools of the Mind Curriculum to build engaging, play-based, experiential lessons for preschoolers ages 3 or 4.
• Ensure the health and safety of every student by maintaining a "safe-to-fail" environment where children feel secure to take risks and explore.
• Support the "whole child" (physically, cognitively, and emotionally), helping them navigate feelings and milestones.
• Build trust with parents and caregivers through daily updates, sharing successes and challenges, and bridging school and home.
• Work seamlessly with the Head of School and other instructors to maintain high standards of safety and collaboration.
