About The Position

As a Lead Plumbing Installer, you'll direct crews installing plumbing systems, from piping, fixtures, and water heaters to pipeline work for sewers and water mains, while mentoring the apprentices and technicians working alongside you. You bring the technical know-how, keeping every plumbing installation job on track and up to code. This leadership position offers real long term stability and a clear path to keep growing in the trade.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Plumbing trade school or technical training preferred
  • 4+ years of plumbing installation experience, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity
  • Journeyman plumbing license or equivalent state-required certification required
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation practices, and code compliance
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar project/service management software preferred
  • Lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
  • Work performed indoors and outdoors, including confined spaces and varied weather conditions
  • Field-based role with daily travel to residential and commercial job sites
  • May require evenings, weekends, or overtime depending on project schedules
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Lead plumbing installation crews in the setup and completion of projects
  • Install plumbing systems including piping, fixtures, water heaters, gas lines, and related components
  • Train, mentor, and support apprentices and technicians to build technical skills
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
  • Ensure installations comply with state and local plumbing codes and OSHA standards, performing system testing and inspections to confirm quality
  • Document work performed, materials used, and job progress in ServiceTitan
  • Communicate professionally with customers about installation scope, progress, and completion
  • Delegate daily tasks and monitor crew performance to keep projects on schedule
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and used safely
