About The Position

Jenkins Plumbing Company is seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Plumber / Supervisor to support our Townsend location. This role works closely with the Branch Manager and Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, support team performance, and assist in the field when needed. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both supervisory skills and plumbing experience, ensuring operations run smoothly while maintaining productivity, accountability, and high-quality service.

Requirements

  • Previous plumbing experience required (residential preferred)
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Ability to work both in the field and in a leadership capacity
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with timekeeping/payroll systems (e.g., Dayforce) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of field technicians and support staff
  • Reinforce expectations set by branch leadership
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and job performance
  • Address routine issues and escalate more complex concerns as needed
  • Assist technicians in the field as needed based on workload and staffing
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and support job completion
  • Serve as a working leader when additional hands are required
  • Ensure work meets company quality and safety standards
  • Assist with scheduling, dispatch, and daily workflow management
  • Help ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time
  • Resolve day-to-day operational challenges to keep work moving
  • Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy each payroll cycle
  • Follow up on missing time, PTO, or discrepancies
  • Ensure on-call hours and regular time are properly recorded
  • Partner with Payroll/HR to resolve issues quickly
  • Support resolution of customer concerns or service issues
  • Maintain professionalism and ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Ensure required employee documentation is complete and on file
  • Support driver policy compliance for employees operating company vehicles
  • Assist with audits and maintain organized records
  • Assist with onboarding and ensure new hires follow proper procedures
  • Reinforce that employees must be cleared by HR before starting
