About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role will lead maintenance activities across multiple ready mix plant locations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The Lead Plant Maintenance Mechanic will diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on plant equipment and systems. They will coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime. Additionally, they will perform maintenance and repair work on ready mix concrete trucks as needed and partner with plant and operations teams to drive equipment reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing industrial plant equipment and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Ability to lead maintenance activities, coordinate work priorities, and support team performance across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance best practices.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities
