About The Position

As a Lead Pilates Instructor, you will guide clients through Pilates sessions to help improve their strength, flexibility, and overall well-being. You will lead a team of Pilates instructors, oversee their training and education, and ensure high standards of instruction. The role calls for strong knowledge of Pilates principles, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire clients and instructors.

You will lead group classes and one-on-one sessions, assess clients and develop personalized programs, mentor instructors, maintain a robust class schedule, complete required training, and maintain an artful Pilates space that engages the senses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pilates certification, including Pilates Level 1 Certification.
• 1–2 years of experience delivering Pilates sessions.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• CPR and AED certification.
• In-depth knowledge of Pilates principles, anatomy, and physiology.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe studio environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Certified Pilates Trainer.

Nice To Haves

• College degree in Exercise Science or a related field.
• Additional Pilates certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pilates classes and one-on-one sessions, demonstrating proper form and technique and providing clear instructions.
• Adapt exercises to accommodate clients with different fitness levels and abilities.
• Conduct initial client assessments to evaluate fitness levels, goals, and special considerations or restrictions.
• Create personalized Pilates programs aligned with individual client needs.
• Lead, guide, and train a team of Pilates instructors to ensure sessions meet company standards.
• Build and maintain a robust schedule of Pilates classes.
• Read, watch, and engage in all required training associated with the role.
• Maintain an artistry-level Pilates space focused on all senses.
• Maintain a clean and safe studio environment.
