About The Position

The Lead Physician Navigator, under the direction of the Director of Strategy and Integration (DSI), assists in the training and management of the business development team, including Clinical Navigators, Physician Navigators, and other directed individuals. This role provides marketing support for sales presentations to various hospitals and clinics. The Lead Physician Navigator cultivates referral relationships, manages an assigned territory, makes sales contacts, and analyzes referral and admission data. Collaboration with the business development team, admissions staff, nursing, and other internal/external staff is key to facilitating referral conversion. The role also involves providing feedback and recommendations for program development and quality improvement initiatives related to customer service, the referral and admission process, and patient/referral source satisfaction. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders, including prospective patients, families, physicians, nurses, discharge planners, case managers, and payer representatives, is crucial.

Requirements

  • License in nursing, therapy, or social work or significant healthcare experience in marketing.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in healthcare marketing.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior marketing and/or rehabilitation/LTACH experience preferred.
