About The Position

This position is for a Lead Pharmacist at WMCH Weirton Medical Center. The role requires a current pharmacist license in WV, PA, MD, or OH, and for remote workers, a license in their state of residence. The position involves five years of experience as a pharmacist in a pharmacy setting. Preferred qualifications include a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy, Board Certification, and three years of experience in a leadership or management role. The role is scheduled for 40 hours per week on a day shift and is classified as Exempt.

Requirements

  • Must possess current license as required by state board where services will be provided: WV: Pharmacist license through the West Virginia State Board of Pharmacy
  • PA: Pharmacist license through the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
  • MD: Pharmacist license through the Maryland Board of Pharmacy
  • OH: Pharmacist license through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
  • Remote Workers Only: Must additionally hold current Pharmacist license issued by state of residence.
  • Five (5) years’ experience as pharmacist in a pharmacy setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.

  • Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.
