This position involves operating PET equipment to produce images and measure radioactive isotope concentrations. The technologist will follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and adhere to rules and regulations from the NRC, state regulatory agencies, and JCAHO. Responsibilities include informing patients about their exams, performing hot lab duties, ensuring patient safety by checking for contraindications, accurately positioning patients, maintaining contact, completing exam forms, recording data, issuing films, forwarding data to the Radiologist, and refilming cases as needed. The role also includes assisting clerical staff and maintaining equipment and rooms.
