About The Position

The Lead Person role is to provide direction and support to ensure all tasks and objectives are completed successfully. This role requires knowledge and understanding of all tasks within a department, the ability to use tools such as a hook and knife to safely and properly dress carcasses, and to communicate effectively with employees and management to resolve production issues or concerns. The Lead Person must also be able to remove any visible contamination using a hook and knife and follow proper sanitation procedures. This description is not intended to be all inclusive, and an employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to work in a humid, hot, wet, slippery, or moving surface at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Be attentive to detail.
Ability to work safely, wear PPE, and follow instructions.
Ability to attend work consistently.
Always be aware of your surroundings.
Follow all safety, food safety, animal welfare and sanitary dress procedures.
Able to stand for lengthy periods of time.
Display strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment.
Previous heavy machinery experience in manufacturing environment.
Previous agriculture production/ beef plant experience.
