About The Position

The individual selected for this position will assume all duties of Machine Adjuster. This role involves setting up machines for different cuts, making adjustments, performing regular daily maintenance, greasing machines, and sharpening blades. The position requires the ability to train and assist in the supervision of employees and manage the department in the absence of a supervisor. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, motivated team player with good communication and decision-making skills.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to apply common sense
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day
• Ability to multitask and work quickly
• Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations (Less than 3 feet apart)
• Must have good communication skills
• Good hand and eye coordination required
• Must be able to lift 85 lbs
• Must be able to work at high heights
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and humidity
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and possibly have to work different shifts (day, evening, or night)
• Must complete a successful background check

Nice To Haves

• Skills in mechanics, welding, and electrical fields is preferred
• Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees)
• Food or production experience preferred
• Two years’ experience

Responsibilities

• Train and assist in supervision of employees
• Manage department in absence of supervisor
• Set up machines for different cuts
• Make adjustments to the machine
• Perform regular daily maintenance
• Grease machine
• Sharpen blades
• Perform administrative duties and records (P.M.’s, logs, etc.)
