About The Position

The Rendering Lead Operator will be proficient on all production equipment in the department. Understand work specifications needed for each job. Monitor job quality throughout the production run. Adhere to quality checklist. Along with being an asset to the other Rendering Operators on shift for questions and concerns.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.
• Ability to attend work consistently.
• Must be able to withstand long periods in cold, warm, or wet/damp environments.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Be adaptable and dependable with the ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others.
• Ability to perform consistent, accurate work minimal direction and work successfully as part of a team.
• Maintenance aptitude recommended.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Works well with others in a team environment.
• Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in job set-ups, roll changes, end of day and end of week clean up.
• Solve simple mechanical problems to keep the machines running
• Maintain machine speed at optimized level
• Alert supervisor when jobs are out of specification.
• Keep accurate, legible production records
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Maintain a positive relationship with co-workers
• Cooperate with other departments
• Maintain a neat and clean area around machines
• Assist in other departments as needed
• Comply with company safety policies
