This role is to lead associates working within the FJ Custom Glove & Apparel area. To oversee, coordinate, and modify as needed the activities of the individuals within the work group in order to maintain an efficient, organized work flow. Work closely with the custom team to make sure their lead times are met. This is on the glove as well as the apparel side of the business.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working/leading in a fast paced Embroidery or Stitching Room including demonstrated ability to run all machines and train others on their use.
  • Must have demonstrated experience processing manufacturing orders in AGS and KPacking orders for shipment.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to lead teams and/or groups of individuals and work effectively with others.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Good communication skills required including direct, telephone, and electronic.
  • Acushnet Global System experience required.
  • Intermediate MS Office applications experience required.
  • Must be able to work well with people in their assigned area of responsibility.
  • Must have responsible work habits, good judgement, and good decision making skills.
  • Must pass all Health Services screens and have acceptable disciplinary history.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure work area is safe, clean, and well organized.
  • Ensure work is prioritized correctly.
  • Ensure an even and consistent workflow through all department processes.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities and assignments of all associates assigned to the area.
  • Monitor work methods and coach to established operating procedures.
  • Ensure all associates are following established policies, rules and regulations.
  • Notify Team Leader about performance issues.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are adequately supplied and properly maintained.
  • Provide training including but not limited to sewing machine, embroidery machine & KPack operation, directly or through trainers, to all associates as needed.
  • Recognize and report disciplinary issues, timely.
  • Monitor and report variances to established service levels.
  • Recognize staffing inequities and report need to increase or reduce staff accordingly.
  • Recognize, diagnose, and fix/report system problems.
  • Forecast daily work completion.
  • Report daily work completion.
  • Work closely with other departments ensuring effective and timely transfer of product and information.
  • Investigate and respond to internal and external queries.
  • Notify Team Leader if unable to resolve.
  • Assist Team Leader with projects as needed.
  • Assist other areas as needed.
