The Lead Patient Care Representative will contribute to the goals of Shields Health by providing exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy. What you will do: Leads and gives direction to Patient Care Representatives in Hub Managers absence. Organize and assign work to maintain an efficient, customer focused environment. Knowledge of DPH inspection requirements to assist when needed for inspection visits. Communicate process or policy changes and support such changes as implemented by Hub Manager. Maintain co pay/petty cash accuracy and make daily bank deposits. Greet patients, collect necessary copay/deductible and explain the consent form to be completed. Assist patients with IPad check in process, ability to trouble shoot and provide feedback Ability to recognize and utilize when language services are needed Distribute films/CDs as required, while maintaining HIPAA and the Patient Privacy Policy. Work in collaboration with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow. Process outgoing and incoming US and inter-office mail and UPS deliveries. Prepare set up for next day’s appointment schedule, and communicate potential issues. Provide and respect confidentiality of all customer groups. Verify and enter necessary information into our systems. Respond appropriately to scheduling emergency patient situations. Support Customer Care with machine utilization by filling the template (Utilizing waitlist, 1/1 and 7/4) Answer patient and doctor concerns with accuracy, efficiency and in a professional manner. Keep management informed of situations and conditions with potential impact on the company, particular department(s) or customer group. Remain current on any changes in policies or procedures that modify daily work functions. Performs other related duties as required
