About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This role serves as a Team Lead for the Adult & Child Behavioral Health departments and the Eating Disorders & Weight Management Clinic. The position requires the ability to function as a resource for employees, internal departments, and outside customers, with a comprehensive understanding of all department areas to assist in resolving issues. The Lead Patient Access Representative must work independently, possess strong customer service skills, and assist with new employee orientation and mentorship. Responsibilities may include overseeing work tasks, adjusting staffing for coverage, and facilitating ongoing department education and training, potentially developing training curriculum and materials. The role may also involve facilitating change, ensuring adoption of new processes, and assisting in managing productivity and department reports, demonstrating analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management, group facilitation, and training skills.

Requirements

  • Two years of One Chart or similar electronic medical records (EMR) experience required.
  • Previous healthcare experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Five years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a resource for employees, internal departments, and outside customers.
  • Fill in, answer questions, and assist in resolving issues within the department.
  • Work independently without much supervision and accept accountability for individual tasks.
  • Assist with new employee orientation and serve as a mentor.
  • Provide oversight of work tasks and adjust staffing to ensure appropriate coverage due to absences or lack of float coverage.
  • Assist with on-going department education and training.
  • Develop training curriculum and materials to ensure that departmental training needs are met.
  • Facilitate change and ensure adoption of new processes.
  • Demonstrate analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management, group facilitation and training skills.
  • Assist in managing productivity and department reports.
