The Parasitology Lead helps supervise daily activities within the laboratory unit/group/area/department. This role involves assisting in the supervision of department staff, monitoring activities, evaluating performance, and providing coaching and guidance. The Lead also oversees staff training and development, contributes to department policies and procedures, and leads work activities by planning, organizing, and ensuring adequate staffing and resources to meet customer satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves maintaining diagnostic equipment, performing routine testing, resolving pending lists, reporting quality assurance issues, ensuring audits are performed, maintaining refrigerator organization, maintaining equipment, meeting daily turnaround time (TAT) production requirements, and performing supervisor duties in their absence. The position requires adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety, and quality procedures, maintaining a clean work area, restocking supplies, and performing other assigned duties. Associates are expected to act ethically, hold each other accountable, ask questions, seek guidance, and report concerns or violations.
