About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in lift truck manufacturing, is seeking a Lead Paint GRN Plt 3 for its 2nd shift operations. This role involves directing paint work areas, organizing production, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The position requires a hands-on approach to operations, including operating machinery, conducting tests, and making necessary adjustments to equipment and materials. The Lead will also be responsible for training new employees and ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Requirements

Frequent lifting and carrying (frequent from 0 to 50 lbs.
Must be able to see, hear, write, talk, have good binocular vision and distinguish colors.
Must be able to use a computer.
Must be able to do simple and firm grasping with both hands.
Must be able to work in an environment that is moderately noisy and include exposure to dust, heat, grease, vibrations, oil, paints, solvents and spray by products.
Understand basic math including decimals.

Responsibilities

Direct the operations of assigned paint work areas.
Organize and assign work according to production schedules.
Assist supervisor, continuous improvement team and manufacturing engineer on planning and production.
Perform daily lift truck and host pre-operations safety checks.
Coordinate the training of new and current employees.
Use lift trucks to move materials and completed parts to proper locations.
Properly hang parts on conveyor line with assistance of a lift truck or hoist (as necessary), and paint parts according to the production travelers.
Operate all machines assigned to paint areas.
Conduct and document required testing of paint, processing equipment and finished product to follow the paint control plan.
Make necessary adjustments to chemicals, paint, and equipment as required.
Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
