About The Position

Adventure Dental, Vision and Orthodontics in Greeley, CO are currently seeking an Optometric Assistant to administer visual tests, operate diagnostic equipment, and help with eyewear fittings. This position will report to the Lead Optometric Assistant. The role involves maintaining the frame board, ordering supplies, ensuring patients are processed efficiently, educating patients on eyewear, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the practice. The Lead Optometric Technician will also participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.

Requirements

Ability to tech, scribe, and perform optometric tasks
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in EHR systems
Ability to train and lead a team of Optometric Assistants
Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a vision practice is a plus
Preferred knowledge of optometric online software/database, Intero Order processing systems, Google Docs, and Document Portal Spreadsheet software
Bilingual a plus

Responsibilities

Maintain, clean, and audit frame board on a weekly basis
Order and track materials/supplies needed for back office
Ensure patients are teched and scribed in a timely manner and assists the team when falling behind
Educate patients on proper frame selection and lens options
Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children
