About The Position
Mars is seeking an experienced Lead Operator to join their factory team. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background looking for a challenging opportunity to lead a passionate team of associates while also developing personally and professionally. The Lead Operator will be responsible for the performance of multiple machines, processes, and equipment, making operational decisions at the line level to achieve targets and coordinate resources. This role requires the ability to be the first point of contact for technical issues with production machinery and to lead repairs for mechanical breakdowns. Additionally, the role involves leading, coaching, and training associates dedicated to their line.
Requirements
- Educated to GCSE level
- Mechanical training or background is a must.

- Experience leading / coordinating a small team of associates
- Experience in FMCG / High speed production
Responsibilities
- Coordinate a small team of operators and temporary associates to achieve line targets.
- Identify and repair mechanical breakdowns on various machinery.
- Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
- Assisting operators with daily productions tasks to ensure line targets are met.
