About The Position

This role is for a Lead Operator on the 1st Shift. The position requires understanding and adherence to company policies, mission, values, and operating principles. The operator must also adhere to safety requirements, meet attendance standards, and achieve productivity expectations. This role involves problem-solving, decision-making, and guiding other personnel. Key responsibilities include kitting, covering breaks, collaborating with supervisors on scheduling, managing supplies using FIFO, ordering supplies, troubleshooting vision issues, directing finishing/rewind priorities, participating in pharma audits, reviewing samples, and maintaining housekeeping. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee manual.

  • Guide and direct work of other Rewind and Press Helper personnel
  • Kitting (setting up work stations with necessary materials and equipment)
  • Cover breaks
  • Collaborate with Press Supervisors on scheduling for rewind/ finishing
  • KAN BAN – ordering supplies following FIFO
  • Order supplies as needed for peak packaging needs
  • Act as a resource for Customer Service regarding Vision issues
  • Vision functionality troubleshooting
  • Directing finishing / rewind on priorities, evaluating changes in priorities
  • Pharma audits
  • Reviewing samples
  • Double checks
  • Packing
  • Housekeeping
  • Attend all toolbox meetings, providing feedback as appropriate
