Lead Operator - Sheet Extrusion (C)

About The Position

To perform tasks necessary to efficiently control the operation of extrusion line from raw material input to finished product. Must be able to work C Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every Other Sunday, 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM. $1 per hour shift incentive applies to C shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to work at a fast pace
Ability to multi task and read production tickets
Ability to perform math calculations including fractions
Must be able to read tape measure, including micrometer
Must be computer literate
Ability to maintain production standards
Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
Maintains a safe working environment by following environments by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents
Maintains company's quality standards
Responsible for training employees
Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area
Supports plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders
Communicates with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
Directs/instructs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
Maintains time and production records
Other duties as assigned
