This position's purpose is to coordinate/lead the Warehouse/Shipping teams inclusive of (Receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping and Inventory control of a Manufacturing raw material warehouse and the On-time Shipment of parts and Tools by helping to provide the right material, in the right quantities, at the right time from the right source.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Associates or Bachelors Degree.
  • Materials and ERP knowledge and ability to understand the Customer requirements.
  • Previous Oracle experience is preferred.

  • Certified or ability to be forklift certified on all forklift equipment.
  • Ability to successfully train team members.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate/lead efforts to improve Warehouse operations and create and revise procedures.
  • Identify operational issues and process improvement opportunities to management, propose solutions.
  • Engage with cross functional groups to facilitate problem resolution and continuous improvements (Kaizen events).
  • Accountable for the safe operation of all equipment, including forklifts, hand tools, and other equipment in the operation.
  • Creates and publishes weekly and monthly performance metrics and drives improvements based to meet department goals.
  • Responsible for researching and identifying root cause of ERP transaction errors to maintain high inventory accuracy.
  • Perform analytical work and support relating to compiling data researching various topics and summarizing results.
  • Running reports evaluating and developing work systems, present findings and recommending solutions.
  • Work closely with the manager on how to effectively utilize existing systems to provide KPI, SLA’s, time studies, productivity metrics, which translates to continuous improvements.
  • Support all warehouse activities to ensure accurate and timely distribution of inventory to the MFG, and Shipping.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and delivery of materials.
  • Expedite parts as needed and manage the disposition of discrepant or suspicious materials.
  • Audit and report on inventory variances.
  • Recommend how to improve through RCCA, and 8D reporting.
  • Assist the shipping process and ensure finished goods are properly packaged, documented.
  • Review shipping schedules to meet customer and production deadlines.
  • Support warehouse associates, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and company standards.
  • Conduct training and monitor team performance.
  • Enforce warehouse practices and protocols to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Recommend improvements based on inventory trends, audit results, and workflow analysis.
  • Collaborate with leadership and department leads to set warehouse goals and align operational request.
  • Maintain 6S standards through regular Gemba walks.
  • Ensuring that the 6S standard is captured with bi-weekly reporting.
  • Ensure warehouse layout supports efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with company safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety training and monitor safe use of equipment and handling of materials.
  • Accountable for ensuring the Warehoue is 5S ready 24x7 and promotes 5S activities to sustain warehouse is organized and safe.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
