About The Position

The Lead Occupational Therapist provides appropriate evaluation and care for patient populations served in the department. The therapist works closely with patients to restore, maintain, and promote their overall fitness and health, and serves as a clinical resource for staff. The role also supports positive customer service and patient experiences through collaboration with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in each of the required areas of expertise in section I.
• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or OTD in Occupational Therapy.
• Current Tennessee licensure.
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, staff, physicians, and third-party payers.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess each patient in relation to the therapy requested and provide reassessment according to policy.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff.
• Hold staff accountable for positive customer service behaviors.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, patients, and families to promote a positive patient experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in occupational therapy modalities and be certified to perform them.
