Lead Nurse ($5000 Sign-On Bonus)
About The Position
Pathway Family Services is seeking a Full-Time Lead Nurse for their PRTF facility. This role involves leading a team of healthcare professionals to provide oversight and treatment planning for the physical well-being of children and adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs. The Lead Nurse will provide nursing care, ensure assessments are completed, manage medication orders, educate children and families, coordinate health appointments, and ensure all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements. The position requires a compassionate individual eager to learn, help families build strengths, and connect them with community resources, utilizing a trauma-informed approach in collaboration with clients, families, and team members.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas.
- Must be 21 years of age and 3 years older than the oldest resident.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency or personal vehicle to transport clients.
- Must have a valid drivers' insurance.
- Must be eligible for credentialing with Kansas Medicaid for billing needs.
Nice To Haves
- Supervision experience preferred.
- Willing to take a trauma informed approach as they collaborate with clients, families, and other team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of health care professionals providing oversight and treatment planning for the physical wellbeing of children/ adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs.
- Provide nursing care for children who are working to overcome the trauma they have experienced.
- Ensure all assessments are completed.
- Ensure medication management orders are fulfilled.
- Educate children and families about the care they are receiving.
- Coordinate and complete health appointments.
- Coordinate and complete appointments with in-house medication providers.
- Ensure that all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements.
