About The Position

Pathway Family Services is seeking a Full-Time Lead Nurse to join their team. This role involves leading a team of healthcare professionals in providing oversight and treatment planning for the physical well-being of children and adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs. The Lead Nurse will ensure assessments are completed, medication management orders are fulfilled, and patients and families are educated about their care. Responsibilities also include coordinating health appointments, managing in-house medication providers, and ensuring all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements. The position requires a compassionate individual eager to learn, help families build on their strengths, and connect them with community resources, while taking a trauma-informed approach in collaboration with clients, families, and team members. This is an in-office position with a flexible schedule determined in collaboration with facility administration to cover the needs of a 24/7 residential facility.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas.
  • Must be 21 years of age and 3 years older than the oldest resident.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency or personal vehicle to transport clients.
  • Must have a valid drivers' insurance.
  • Must be eligible for credentialing with Kansas Medicaid for billing needs.
  • Must complete a Predictive Index assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of health care professionals providing oversight and treatment planning for the physical well-being of children/ adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs.
  • Provide nursing care for children working to overcome trauma.
  • Ensure all assessments are completed.
  • Ensure medication management orders are fulfilled.
  • Educate children and families about the care they are receiving.
  • Coordinate and complete health appointments.
  • Coordinate appointments with in-house medication providers.
  • Ensure all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements.
