About The Position

The Multi-Classroom Leader (MCL) is an instructional leadership role at MNPS. The MCL leads a team of teachers, tutors, and other adults in meeting students’ academic goals and is accountable for the learning and development of all students taught by team members. The MCL establishes team members’ goals, organizes instructional planning and teaching responsibilities around their strengths and development goals, sets learning benchmarks, and determines how students spend instructional time. The MCL also provides direct instruction, sometimes by co-teaching, and reviews student progress with the team to adjust instructional strategies. In collaboration with the principal, the MCL selects, evaluates, and develops team members and may recommend dismissal of low performers. The role title may vary by school site, but the job description and responsibilities are similar across MNPS schools. The position is school-based at Stratton Elementary and is listed as interim for the 2026–2027 school year. The stated starting salary is $53,610.04. The salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and is provided as a reference; final compensation is determined by MNPS based on relevant factors, including education, experience, and other qualifications.
