About The Position
Fair Oaks Estates is seeking a Lead Medication Technician to join their team. This role involves dispensing medications to residents in an Assisted Living community and overseeing the care and medication needs of the Memory Care Wing. The community is a secure, gated, 63-bedroom facility offering Assisted Living and Memory Care for older adults, located on four acres in Carmichael, California. They emphasize specialized care plans, collaboration with families and doctors, and a balance between care and independence. The community is locally owned and operated, offering comfortable amenities, exceptional dining, numerous activities, and qualified care staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Med Tech or Certified Nursing Assistant
- Previous supervisor or management experience
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Must be able to clear post-offer fingerprint background check and employment physical
Responsibilities
- Communicating with resident care director on resident changes, medication updates, etc.
- Ensure Department is Title XXII compliant at all times
- Following all medication guidelines that were given in medication training
- Pull, pour, assist residents with medications
- Ensure resident care is being done per assessment and documenting
- Assist with med-room tasks
- Assist and manage resident emergencies
