About The Position

Affinity Health Center is seeking a Lead Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support. In addition to patient care, the Lead Certified Medical Assistant performs periodic chart audits to ensure accuracy and quality; responsible for training and ongoing development of the medical assistants; supports flow management to ensure efficiency, quality care, compliance, and utilization of Patient Centered Care Principles; works collaboratively to support AHCs primary care quality metrics; floats between providers to ensure adequate coverage; supports infection control and compliance with OSHA and AAAHC standards. Lead Certified Medical Assistant is a role model for the medical assistant staff and an advocate for the mission, vision, and values of Affinity Health Center. Pay is based on experience and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant Required.
• Acceptable certification includes any of the following: CMA from the Certification Alliance of Health Care Professionals, RMA from the American Medical Technologists, NCMA from the National Healthcare Association, CCMA from the National Healthcareer Association.
• Reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in a medical office preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support.
