About The Position

Pinnacle Dermatology, part of the QualDerm Partners family, is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant who is ready to take ownership of clinic operations and lead a highly motivated team of primarily pre-PA and pre-med Medical Assistants. Requirements

  • Previous Medical Assistant experience required (dermatology preferred)
  • Prior leadership, charge, or mentoring experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working with high patient volumes and procedural care
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Medical Assistants
  • Help manage daily clinic flow, staffing, and provider support
  • Train and onboard new hires, ensuring confidence and consistency
  • Set expectations and reinforce high performance standards
  • Act as a go-to problem solver for team and operational needs
  • Partner with leadership to improve workflows and efficiency
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-driven culture
  • Prepare patients for exams, including vitals and medical history
  • Assist providers with procedures and examinations
  • Perform basic lab work and specimen preparation
  • Educate patients on treatments, medications, and skincare
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Keep rooms efficient, organized, and patient-ready
