About The Position

Assists physicians and nursing staff in the care of patients in our Orthopaedics Camden Site. Performs various patient care activities, including assisting with patient flow, taking vitals, giving injections, casting, DME and other needs as required. Maintains work stations, exam and procedure rooms. May direct the activities of other Medical Assistants. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited training program (school) or 5 plus years of supervised work experience in a medical setting
  • Medical Assistant certification (such as NAHP, NCCT, AAMA, NHA, AMT, etc.) is required
  • Demonstrated skill in venipuncture
  • Ability to perform all medical assisting responsibilities under state and faculty guidelines
  • CPR certification required
