Wentworth Health Partners Women’s Health provides comprehensive, personalized care for every stage of a woman’s life in an atmosphere of privacy, respect, and trust. Our experienced providers and specialists take a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to Obstetrics, Gynecology, Urogynecology, Infertility, and LGBTQ+ care. This role is primarily based in Dover, NH, with the opportunity to support Women’s Health locations across the Wentworth Health Partners system, including Garrison Women’s Health, Wentworth Health Partners OB/GYN & Infertility, Wentworth Health Partners Dover Women’s Health, and the Center for Women’s Health and Wellness in Portsmouth. As a Lead Medical Assistant, you will be both a hands-on clinical team member and a trusted resource for Medical Assistant colleagues. You will help keep daily clinical operations running smoothly, support patient flow, mentor and train staff, and partner closely with the Practice Manager, Medical Director, physicians, nurses, and administrative colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys leadership, teamwork, clinical variety, and making a meaningful impact in a Women’s Health setting.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Medical Assistant credential required.
3–5 years of Medical Assistant experience required, with demonstrated strength in both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and team-building skills.
Comfort working in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare setting while balancing patient care, staff support, and daily operational needs.
Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, patient privacy standards, and HIPAA requirements.
Experience using electronic health record systems and medical office software.
Ability to obtain vital signs, manual blood pressure readings, and collect blood samples or other specimens as appropriate.
A detail-oriented, organized, adaptable approach and a commitment to excellent patient service.

Nice To Haves

Basic Life Support certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, training, and support to the Medical Assistant team.
Serve as a role model and clinical resource for site staff, helping foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused environment.
Support patient care by rooming patients, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with clinical visits and office-based procedures.
Coordinate patient flow to promote timely, efficient, and compassionate care throughout the practice.
Assign tasks and help balance workloads to ensure strong coverage and effective use of resources.
Participate in onboarding, precepting, and training for new hires, students, and clinical support staff.
Assist with competency assessments, quality control programs, and clinical initiatives that support safe, consistent care delivery.
Partner with practice leadership and providers to address clinical questions, workflow needs, and opportunities for improved efficiency.
