We are seeking an experienced Lead Medical Assistant – Clinical Office Lead to help lead the daily operations of our Dresher clinic while continuing to provide hands-on patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Medical Assistant who is ready to take the next step into leadership. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, clinically strong, and comfortable guiding a team in a fast-paced urgent care environment. This dual-role position combines clinical care, team leadership, and day-to-day office oversight to ensure the clinic runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting; experience in Urgent Care is preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
  • Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for actions
  • Open to constructive criticism and feedback when necessary
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party vendors
  • Understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Competence with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Medical Assistant experience in urgent care, primary care, occupational health, or a similar clinical setting.
  • Strong leadership potential or prior experience as a Lead MA, Clinical Lead, or Office Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinic flow to ensure efficiency, professionalism, and an excellent patient experience.
  • Support staff scheduling, daily assignments, training, and team accountability.
  • Help onboard and mentor Medical Assistants and front desk team members.
  • Monitor clinic readiness, including exam rooms, supplies, equipment, and overall organization.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented, patient-centered work environment.
  • Support compliance with infection control, safety, and operational standards.
  • Assist with audits, quality checks, and process improvements.
  • Assist providers with patient exams, procedures, and urgent care visits.
  • Perform vital signs, patient intake, medical history updates, and EMR documentation.
  • Conduct lab testing, specimen collection, EKGs, injections, and screenings.
  • Support occupational health services, including drug testing, TB testing, audiometry, and other employer-related services.
  • Assist with minor procedures, including wound care and suture removal.
  • Educate patients on medications, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
  • Help maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation.
  • Assist with patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and check-in/check-out when needed.
  • Help ensure smooth communication between clinical staff, providers, and front desk team members.
  • Support a professional and welcoming patient experience from arrival to discharge.
