About The Position

The Lead, Mechanical Engineering position is for an Electronic Packaging / Mechanical Engineer supporting a cross-functional team in developing avionics systems. The role follows products from conceptualization through hardware integration and testing and interfaces with designers, thermal and structural analysts, systems engineers, other engineering disciplines, program managers, and customer counterparts. The position leads and performs mechanical engineering activities for product design, analysis, documentation, processing, fabrication, assembly, and qualification against specification requirements, often under stringent technical, schedule, and process requirements. It calls for a strong background in avionics electronics assembly design and experience supporting production of those assemblies. The schedule is 9/80: employees work 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours, and have every other Friday off. The listed job locations are Palm Bay, Florida, and Malabar, Florida.
