About The Position

The Lead Mechanical Engineer at the MA Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) will collaborate with facilities maintenance staff and external vendors to ensure the optimal functioning of the building’s mechanical systems. This role involves operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and managing the computerized building management system and its related subsystems.

Requirements

• Graduate of a technical or trade school.
• A minimum of five years of experience within the past ten years carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and control sequences.
• Clear understanding of codes and regulations.
• Supervisory experience with mechanical contractors.
• Familiarity with building management systems in a facility of similar size and scope.
• Familiarity with Energy Management Systems (EMS) and associated software programs.
• Familiarity with information technologies as they relate to data center operations, including networking, cabling, and equipment best practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient operation of the building’s mechanical systems.
• Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and manage the computerized building management system and associated subsystems.
• Participate in an on-call program, sharing responsibilities for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
