The team is responsible for the mechanical design, simulation, analysis, and testing of fans and compressors used in gas turbine engines. The role supports fielded products and contributes to new products for turbofan, turboshaft, and auxiliary power unit (APU) applications. It applies engineering principles, physics, mathematics, and software development to a broad range of engineering tasks and contributes to continuous improvement of design, analysis, and simulation methods. The position leads mechanical design and analysis of rotating and static turbomachinery components, including rotors, stators, blisks, disks, and impellers. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a core responsibility, alongside component and engine-module testing, test-data analysis, technical documentation, structured design reviews, mentoring, process and tool improvement, and proposal work for commercial and military customers. The role requires at least seven years of mechanical design and analysis experience with aerospace components, at least three years working with turbomachinery components, and at least seven years of experience with ANSYS APDL or ANSYS Mechanical. Applicants must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
